Hello there, I’m Kareen!

I'm mum to a pair of twins - a boy & a girl, who just turned 13, and a 4 year old boy. I hold accreditions with the American Council of Exercise, the Institute of Motion and a Post Graduate Diploma in Physical Education.

A few more fun facts about me

  • I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Physical Education. I taught PE for 3 years before I left the Ministry of Education after the twins were borned. I still teach PE now on a part time basis when I can afford the time because I love getting young people to move!
  • During PE school, I aced the gymnastics and dance modules. But I actually can't dance for nuts and have a problem keeping up in Zumba classes!
  • I am a climber but I am scared of heights. I picked up sport climbing since I was 17 years old and I am trying to find my way back to the wall now, after 3 kids. My daughter climbs way better than me now.
  • I am a military wife and have been married to my husband for 15 years.
  • I’m a Certified Personal Trainer with the Amercian Council on Exercise and have been in the biz of fitness training/coaching for 10 years.
  • I love mountains over the sea. The mountain air is always an allure and nothing beats going to the mountains to cure all illnesses! That's the key reason why I love trail running too.
  • I am a firm believer that consistency and hard work. Laziness is a deadly disease. So it's crucial that we get our kids moving their asses! Start them young!
  • Cooking for a family of 5 is very different from cooking for 1 pax. So don't be deceived by the ease of it all when chefs show you how-to recipes on social. Cooking is tedious work! But it's definitely worth feeding your family well!
